Okay so. I took a darkroom photography class last semester and I loooove it! The only problem is, there isn't a darkroom anywhere where I live. So I'm going to try to build my own makeshift enlarger over the next few months and buy cheap/make developing chemicals. I've also recently heard about caffenol. and OMG, totally excited to try it. For those of you who haven't heard of it, it is a homemade process/mixture to develop film (or prints) in..using instant coffee! (Instant coffee, vitamin C powder and washing powder) You still need the stop bath, fixer, and hypoclear. . but this is way cool. Here are a few examples of what photos come out like:
I've been browsing on ebay for awhile now..lookin to get some expired 35mm film! My mom also just told me that she has a Kodak Brownie in the attic, and while I can't seem to find cheap(or any) 620 film, I saw an adapter for using any 35mm film in your 620 film camera. Sweeeet! hope it'll work.
Oooh. . more news.
I might go to England and/or Switzerland next July.

I'm so excited. It will be with my sister's girl scout troop, so I'll be chaperoning/helping out. but I don't even care! All I've ever wanted to do was go to Europe! yaaaay
So. If anyone reading this has any advice/techniques about:
Building an enlarger?Working with expired film?Using Caffenol?Traveling overseas!? It would be awesome if you commented/suggested anything.
